This Privacy Policy explains how Lumio Labs ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the DocuScan Pro mobile application (the "App").

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication (including Google Sign-In). You may also use the App as a guest without an account.
• Documents you create. Documents you scan are stored locally on your device. If you enable Cloud Sync, copies are uploaded to your own Google Drive.
• Camera. The App uses your device camera solely to scan documents. Captured images are processed on your device and are not sent to us.
• Usage & diagnostic data. We may collect limited technical data (device model, app version, crash information) to keep the App stable.

Google Drive access

Cloud Sync uses the restricted drive.file scope, which grants the App access only to the files it creates in your Google Drive. We cannot see or access any other files in your Drive. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time in the App.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and maintain the App's features (scanning, OCR, export, e-signatures, cloud sync), to authenticate you, and to improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information.

Data sharing

We share information only with service providers that power the App — such as Google (Firebase, Google Drive) and, for subscriptions, Google Play Billing — and only as needed to operate these features. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

Data retention & deletion

Documents remain until you delete them. You can delete your account and associated cloud data from within the App (Account → Delete account). Locally stored documents are removed when you uninstall the App or delete them individually.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
